Dude, you need to get out more.
I'm happy to finally see a fan of the PlayStation 3 see it for what it is. This is not a bad thing by any means. It is what it is. (ie. mediocre gaming machine/mediocre blu-ray player for the casual tech head)
But I can't justify Blu-Ray being the next gen winner for sure. I'm sure it looks good but if BD flops, then what? So, unless you've gone beyond our current knowledge of science, physics, and surpassed Einstein's general theory of relativity, thus creating a time machine into the future, nobody, not one single person can say for sure which format will win. I'll wait for the Blu-ray/HD-DVD combo drive ;)
Until then I'm satisfied with high def movies via Comcast on-demand/XBL HD-media do...
I've been saying this since E3 2005.
You've all heard that one before. LOL
Either way, the PS3 suffers heavily and is in fact choking to death on games that run smoothly on Xbox 360 versions.
But XLIVE requires that you have broadband. My cable TV provider offers the same type thing with their 'On-Demand' feature. I can watch High Def content movies stored on my cable providers servers in an instant through my DVR. They offer over 200 movies which 95% are free. It's like having your own digital movie library and it's great. Also,"MOST" people rent movies. If you're like majority, you watch a movie once or twice then never touch it again. I like the fact that I never have...
I actually thought this would be a horrible experience having to download a movie to my 360's HDD but last night I decided to test it out. So I decided to download a movie called 'V for Vendetta' in hi-definition. I thought it would take at least overnight to download then I could watch it the next day. That was not the case. In fact I was watching that movie faster then it would have took me to drive to Blockbuster and rent one, plus it was in glorious hi-definition. What happens is the movi...
That looks like sh*t compared to what I'm used to on 360. Just terrible, honestly. I almost cringed.
Most of it probably has to do with the fact PS3 Fans don't have much room to talk. Also the fact that MS fixes most of the bad PR eventually. Then it's thrown back in PS3 Fans faces. Tread lightly what you say here PS3 fans. The "I told you so"'s are just racking up. Hahaha
That was retro. Damn she pulled it off though. Hotty 4 sure.
nogard64 wrote, "The PS3 just came out compared to the 360 which has been well over a year and even longer if you consider the fact that developers were given much more time ahead to make games for the 360."
Really? Even with all the PS3 launch delays would you not think the developer team had had just as much time on the PS3 as the 360?
Furthermore, is Gears of War not the "FIRST TIME" Epic developed a game for the 360? Oh I think is champ. So in a ...
COD3 (PlayStation 3 version IGN Review)
“Based on criteria like this, it’s hard to imagine COD3 not impressing. After all, it sounds exciting, so where are all the pitfalls? Unfortunately, they can be found everywhere... especially if you’ve played the Xbox 360 version released earlier in the year. A quick comparison reveals those differences right off the bat. Be it with multiplayer options and online capabilities (360 has a point system and voice support, PS3 doesn’t), or th...
Well he's in a room with a big ass cannon. Why not blow his way out? Stupid bugs
Good one
How's it going bud? I see you have a PS3 now. I would like to hear more direct comparisons from somebody who actually owns both 360 and PS3. So far it seems from all the PR and buzz going around the 360 is dominating the poor PS3 in every area that counts including better graphics, faster/smoother performance (especially noted on cross-platform games), online is a no contest, $ price point, developer support, market share, availability, game reviews, etc., etc..
Also noteworth...
F*cking dork
Half Life 2 from a few years ago has much better physics.
"NICE"
You took the words right out of my mouth. Who TF came up with this dog and pony show?
Buy a $2000+ HDTV then come back and say that. I dare ya. The fact is regular DVD looks like sh*t on the new HDTV's. Standard Def TV's look good with DVD but for some reason HDTV's look bad with DVD. HD programming on my cable blows DVD format away. I'm considering buying the HD-DVD add-on but I'm not sure which format will win.
